Spooky Bingo Bits with Ghoulish Grunge

Well today is the last, for this week, of Halloween cards.  I still need to make a couple for my daughters and grandson too!

I did use a long retired stamp set called, Spooky Bingo Bits, it has a lot of small cute images that you can use for a card.  At one time SU use to sell a stamp that looked like a Bingo card and they had this set and one for Christmas and one for Spring/Easter too.  I used the Ghoulish Grunge on the background to add some interest to it.  I sponged around the circles to add some color to them.  I cut the Spider Web doily in half and trimmed it just slightly to get the look I wanted to achieve.

Here is what I used:

Card stock: Thick Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant
Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Black Star-on
Spider Web Doilies-retired
Triple Banner punch
1-1/4" Circle Punch

Thanks for coming by and have a great week-end too!  Mary

Jar of Haunts Meets Ghoulish Grunge

Well today I'm going to share my second Halloween card that I made.

For this one I used the Jars of Haunts, love all the cute things you can make with this set, sadly it is retired too.  I did use my Everyday Jars Framelits to cut the jar out with, easy peasy!  Oh and those framelits are a current item in the annual catalog.  What could be better than a jar full of eyes!?!

Here is what I used:

Card stock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White and Elegant Eggplant
Ink: Old Olive, Soft Sky, Staz-On Black
Marker: Old Olive
DSP: retired
Baker's Twine: retired
Candy Dots: retired

I hope the teachers think the cards are spooky and cute!  Have a great day.  Mary

Mr Funny Bones

Hey everyone, how are you all doing?  It's been awhile for me to be here, was very busy the last couple of weeks and have really missed creating and sharing with all of my crafty friends!

My daughter requested three Halloween cards for Wesley's daycare teachers, love that she gives me plenty of time to create them!  So I went in search of some Halloween stamp sets in my craft room.  Sorry to say that all of mine our retired, but I kept them knowing that I would need them someday with a grandchild, for teachers and such.

I followed a card that Amy K. made last year, but changed it up just a bit because I wanted to use the sentiment in the set, "Oh Snap".

I always but the Happy Halloween sentiment on the inside because you can usually tell from the front of the card what it's for!

Here is what I used:

Card stock: Thick Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Basic Gray
DSP: is retired
Candy Dots: retired
Inks: Craft Whisper White and Black Memento

I hope your week is off to a wonderful start!  Mary

Lovely As A Tree

Well today is the start of the long Labor weekend and the end to summer as most people view it.  I'm already for the cooler days and getting my jeans out of the closet too!

This is the last card that I made for the upcoming auction, which will be held this month at the Assisted Living Facility that my daughter works at.  I hope they do as well as they did last year!

Of course this card was made for a man, so I brought out my tried and true set, Lovely As A Tree!  This time I remember to take a picture of the inside of the card too!

I'm always so happy with how well the cards turn out when using this stamp set too.  I did use a retired embossing folder called Wood Grain, but I felt it would go better with the tree than the Hardwood background stamp.  I did light sponge it with ink the bring out the grains better.  Here is a picture of the inside.  I also stamped the envelope with this same image and colored it in too.

Here is what I used:

Stamp sets: Lovely As A Tree and Flourishing Phrases
Card stock:  Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla
Inks: Jet Black Staz-On, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Early Espresso and Soft Sky
Sponge
Aqua Painter
Burlap Ribbon
