Little Buddy Birthday

Hi everyone!!  I hope you all had a great Christmas and received lots of great gifts too.

When the new catalog came out and I spotted this stamp set, I knew I had to get it so that I could make some birthday cards with it for my one daughter.  She has lots of "little buddies" and I knew she would like this too!  Found this card over on Julie D. blog.

Here is what the inside looks like.

I hope she likes the card too.

Stamp set: Little Buddy Birthday and Endless Birthday Wishes
Card stock: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Ink: Tempting Turquoise and Memento Black
Blendabilities
Circle Card Thinlit (this is where I found the scallop cut-out too)
1-3/4" circle punch
Designer Series Paper is retired with the hats
Designer Series Paper Stack
Dazzling Details for candle flames

I cut my card stock longer so that I would have the extra flap for the sentiment.

Thanks for coming by to see me and Happy New Years too, early :)  Mary

Gentle Peace and Merry Christmas

While I still had this stamp set out, I decided to make another card with it.  It is fun to color and there are so many possible ways to color it too!

I found this card at Kay Kalthoff blog and decided to CASE it.  I believe she CASE'D it from Stampin' Up! too.

Stamp set: Gentle Peace
Card stock: Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Whisper White
Blendabilities
Memento Black ink
Filigree embossing folder

I want to wish you all a Blessed Christmas and a happy Holiday Season!  Mary

This stamp set just has so many possible scenes to make with it, I've just touched on one.  Very simple to do and make.

Stamp set: White Christmas
Card stock: Soft Sky and Whisper White
Black Memento ink
Blendabilities
Two-way Glue pen
Dazzling Diamonds glitter

Hope you have a wonderful day.  Mary

Doggone Christmas

This is the card that I made to sent to our vet from our dogs.  I try to send a animal card each year and I think this dog has some attitude too, which makes him so cute!

The little hat is a sticker that I found at Michael's years ago.  I had some gold Dazzling Detail to the tag.  I used Washi tape from my November Paper Pumpkin, and a retired stamp set called Oh, Goodie.  I had a lot of fun making this card too.  I'm also sending this card to the little girl who is celebrating her last Christmas this year, hope she and her sister's like it.

Have a wonderful day.  Mary

Noel

I wanted to use one of my wheel stamps that I convert to a regular stamp, it is the retired Musical Notes.
I also use the word "Noel" from the Wondrous Wreath stamp set.

Well, they turned out fine, I was not happy with them either.  I used Gold Embossing powder and VersaMark ink to do the musical notes in and also the Gold Foil paper and I think it is "gold overload".  The card base is retired Midnight Muse.  Oh well, live and learn.  I mailed these cards to two ladies who needed to receive some Christmas cards, I hope that they liked them.

Thanks for coming by!  Mary

Wishing You

Here is a really quick and easy card, I found the layout for this card over on Mary Fish blog.  Her's was a birthday card but I made mine into a Christmas card.

The stamp set is retired, as is the Designer Series Paper, but you could easily use what you have on hand too.  I used markers to color in the presents and wrapped some Linen Thread around.

Thanks for stopping in to see me!  Mary

I'm still busy with Christmas cards, but the end is in sight too.

I found this cute card over on Pinterest, so I CASE'D it and forgot to write down the original creator.

This one does take some time, but I do think it is worth the extra effort too, so pretty!

Stamp set: Wondrous Wreath and Hardwood
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive
Card stock: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Whisper White
DSP: All Is Calm
Red Glimmer Paper
Two-way glue stick

Hope your week-end is off to a Great start!  Mary

Gentle Peace

Todays card was a "lets see how this idea turns out" card.  In looking at it, I think if I make this one again, I would add some layers behind the main image.

I used Silver Embossing powder after stamping the image with VersaMark ink.  Really this card took all of 10 minutes to make, so really fast to do.  I know the card stock is retired, but I don't know the name of it, but you could use Night of Navy if you have that.  The stamp set is Gentle Peace.

I don't know why it looks gold or why the light looks yellow either.  Truly is a Clean and Simple card that requires no extra postage, which is great if you have a lot of Christmas cards to make and send out.

Wondrous Wreath Door

Today is CASE of a card that I received in the mail from a fellow demonstrator and blogger, Donna K. Donna got a card and idea from Lorri H., her upline.  I'm so glad that my fellow demonstrators are a sharing bunch!

Donna's card had a envelope in her mail slot but I wanted mine to be just a bit more Christmasy, so I added the Santa Claus-North Pole to mine.

Stamp set: Wondrous Wreath and Framelits
Ink: Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler
Card stock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Gold Foil
Simple Scored Tool
Modern Label punch
Antique Brad
Dimensionals

Hope your week is off to a great start!  Mary

Festival of Trees Again in Lost Lagoon

This will be my last Festival of Trees card.  I was inspired by a card made by Kimberly Van D.  I changed my just slightly as I don't have the little snowflake embellishment she used or the Star embossing folder.

I once again used my Hearts & Stars Decorative Mat to add stars to the background in Whisper White Craft Ink.

Stamp set: Festival of Trees and Wondrous Wreath
Card stock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Lost Lagoon
Ink: Pool Party and Lost Lagoon
Tree punch and Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack-Star
Silver Glimmer paper
Lost Lagoon ribbon
Frosted Sequins

Hope you have a wonderful day!  Mary

Festival of Trees

Since I had this stamp set still on the craft table, I continued to make another card with it.

This is a "no extra postage" required card, very simple and easy to make.  I don't have the Star embossing folder, yet, so I used my Hearts & Stars Decorative Mask and some Whisper White Craft Ink to add a few stars to the background.  I like how it turned out!  Ribbon is Cherry Cobbler from last year, but you could use the current Cherry Cobbler ribbon or even the Burlap ribbon too.

Stamp set: Festival of Trees
Ink: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Tree Punch and Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack-Star
Linen Thread

I like how clean and simple this card is.  Thanks for stopping in to see me!  Mary

Cards for Addie

The only thing six-year-old Addie Fausett has on her last Christmas list is cards--preferably the handmade kind. Addie, who has a condition called diffuse atrophy, and her family were told by doctors that this Christmas would probably be her last. So when we saw the article on Today.com describing this family's wish for their little girl's last Christmas, we thought, who better to make this gift happen than amazing Stampin' Up! customers?

If you would like to participate and support this family during a difficult time, please take a few minutes to tell all of your cardmaking friends, and then send handmade cards to

Addie Lynn and Sisters, P.O. Box 162, Fountain Green, UT 84632

Addie has two older sisters, please remember them too.  Mary

Gift Bow Santa

Whew, what a time I have had trying to get into my blog the last couple of days.  Oh my golly, I'm not super techy and have had many moments when I thought I would never get to post or share my creations with all of you, go glad to be able to get back.  If I disappear again, you know I'm having problems again.

This little Santa was quite the hit last year when Stampin' Up! came out with the Gift Bow die.  Yes, as you all know, I'm always late to the dance, but wanted to try my hand at making one for my daughter's Christmas gift this year.

Isn't he just the cutest thing!  You do need the Perfect Pennants die for the hat, which I don't have but thought I did, so I had to come up with my own hat triangle for Santa.  So I used one of the Pie boxes, as a template, that I got in the October Paper Pumpkin kit, day saved!  The hat trim is made using the BoHo Blossom punch as is the hat trim too.  I used the half-inch circle punch for the eyes and I think the 3/4 inch punch for the nose.  Santa's face is just a half circle.

Card stock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Basic Black and Blusing Bride
Die: Gift Bow
Silver Glimmer paper
Gel pen

We now that I've spent probably four days trying to get into my blog, I hope to get back to my Christmas cards!

Thanks for dropping in to visit with me and I enjoy any or all comments too!  Mary
