Bringing Baby

Wow, Hi everyone, long time no see, I sure have missed all of my friends here on my blog this past couple weeks.  Hubby is doing great, recovering very nicely and I'm having a hard time holding him down.

I finally got to play in my craft room Sunday and let me tell you, it was so much fun and relaxing too.  I sure do enjoy creating things to share with you and I hope you enjoy them too.

My daughter's sister-in-law is expecting her first baby and my daughter asked if I could make the shower invitations for her.  So the card today I'm sharing is round one of baby shower invites.  I pulled out some of my retired Bashful Blue (she's having a boy) because it reminds me of a baby boy.  Then I used the retired stamp, Bringing Baby, I think this stork with the baby is so cute too.  Next I stamped the Itty Bitty Banners with Stazon Black onto Whisper White and used the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelit to cut it out with.  I flagged a piece of Bashful Blue card stock and popped it up with dimensionals.  I also use the Scallop Trim Border punch and the retired Scallop Trim Corner punch.  I embossed the background with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder.  I found the inspiration for this card HERE.

Well this is all for my share today, I'm so happy to be here again.  Oh, did I tell you that the cards that I made for the auction where my daughter works is now up to $30.00!!  Daughter told me there is a bidding war going on with them too!  I was shock to hear this, but thankful that it will raise money for the cause too.

Just a reminder too, that the LNS Treasure Hunt Fall 2013 is still going on too!

Spooky Banners

Hi everyone, I hope you all are doing well!  We are all doing better now that hubby is home and on the road to recovery, it will just take time and alot of patience on his part.  He wants to go back to his part-time job next month but I told him "I don't think so".  He was one lucky guy last week and I thank the Good Lord for that too!

On Saturday, my one daughter came into to town to walk with her sister in a fund raiser for one of the local animal shelters and also for her 10 year class reunion!  Is that possible that she has been out of high school for 10 years already?!  Anyway, they came by the house and I help them make these banners for Halloween.  I think they turned out so cute too!  I guess they did inherit a crafty gene from me.  I told them to make them however they wanted to and gave them the supplies to make them.  I think it took around two hours for them from start to finish.  We used sponge daubers to apply the ink to the banners, so if you try to make one of these, make sure you have extra sponge daubers on hand, because the daubers may fall apart from all of the rubbing.  If you would like to see the pictures larger, just click on them.

This is all for today, I hope your week is off to a wonderful start and thanks for all of the prayers and well wishes for hubby.      Mary

I'm Still Here

So sorry, no card today.  Hubby was in the hospital Monday night, Tuesday and was released Wednesday night, so I've been in my other mode of playing nurse for him again.  He fell while trimming tree limbs and was hurt, but not bad.  A few cracked ribs, a few broken and a few fractures on his spine.  He has no recall of falling and when I found him he had dragged himself to a chair outside and very dazed and confused.  After much nagging, I finally got him to agree to go to the emergency room.  Had a really good scare while there, his blood pressure dropped to 70/50 but the angels (his nurses) got him in good shape again.  But since the the hospital close to our house does not handle trauma cases any more, they had to transfer him, by ambulance, to another hospital.  He is getting back to normal and realizes just how fortunate he is that he didn't get hurt worse!  Anyone want to buy a used ladder?!  Are other angels (his friends from work) are coming Monday to haul off the limbs for us.  We are so very thankful that while hurt, in 6-8 weeks he should be back to his old self once again.

I hope to be able to have some things to share with you next week and I hope you all have a great, safe week-end too!

Hello, Lovely

Good Monday morning too all of you, I think I've recovered from our garage sale.  My daughter had a great sale, beautiful weather and lots of shoppers because of the weather and items priced to sell too!

If you need a quick and easy card, I've got one for you today.  It uses the Gingham Garden Washi Tape from Stampin' Up! and that in itself makes it easy to add color to your card front and interest too.  I used two of the stamp sets that I received from convention, Hello, Lovely and Gorgeous Grunge.  I pulled my ink colors from the washi tape, Melon Mambo, Midnight Muse and Daffodil Delight.  I also used the Decorative Label and Artisan Label punches.  Added a few pearls and a rhinestone too.  I popped the sentiment up with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.  Card stock is Melon Mambo and Whisper White.

I CASED this card HERE

The LNS Treasure Hunt Fall 2013 is still going on and we've added some more blogs too!  I think the prize for the US is now up to $144.00, please go visit some blogs, you will get alot of good ideas too!

Lovely As A Tree Sympathy

Good day to all of you.  I hope your Friday is a great one too.

Today I'm sharing the last of the auction cards, I hope they enjoy the variety of cards that I've donated to them to help with their cause.  I went back to my favorite old stand-by, Lovely As A Tree.  I found this card HERE.  She did her card by using My Digital Studio, I did mine with the stamp.  Now I don't know what the inside of her card looked like, but the picture below is how I finished mine off.  Very simple but I feel very elegant too.  What do you all think?  I used my Simple Score board to add interest and also my paper piercing tool and mat.  I did off set the Very Vanilla to one side, something different then what I normally do.

Stamp set: Lovely As a Tree and Thoughts and Prayers
Ink: Early Espresso and Crumb Cake
Card stock: Very Vanilla and Soft Sky

There you have it, my last card for the auction, hope you have a wonderful day, Mary

A New Way to Pay

In an effort to offer more options for you to order Stampin’ Up! merchandise through me, I’m now  accepting PayPal payments for your orders!  So you’ve got two ways to shop Stampin’ Up! through me, you can use the online store or you can pay through PayPal.

Paying with PayPal is pretty simple, just contact me with the item(s) that you would like to order (please include the item numbers so that I can verify that I’ve got everything correct), I’ll calculate the cost and send you an invoice through PayPal, after you have paid the invoice, I’ll submit your order and have it shipped directly to you.

Now you have two easy ways to order, place an online order or email me your order and pay through PayPal!

I just this past week-end did this for a new customer, and it went very smoothly too.  Now you don't need to worry about sending a check or giving me your credit card number.  You can pay with PayPal and know that your payment is secure and it also gives both of us a statement of what transactions have been made too.

Bright Blossoms

Good Friday to all of you, I hope your day is off to a great start.

Today I want to share another auction card.  I've been trying to keep the cards pretty simple and not too bulky so that whomever buys them will not have to worry about any extra postage.  For this card I used the Bright Blossoms and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.  It's been awhile since I used both.  I also got out my Designer Frames too, just to give the card some texture.  Colors are Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz.  Card stock is Whisper White and Wisteria Wonder.  Now as I type this post, I see where you could add a Rhinestone where the small purple dot is on top of the flower too, for alittle bit of sparkle.

Thanks for coming by to see me, I appreciate it and have enjoyed those who have left comments too!  Mary

Lovely As A Tree Birthday

Woohoo, we finally got our internet service back.  It sure is nice not to have to go all over town to get free Wi-Fi too.

The other day when I was trying out a new technique using the blue painter's tape, I had this label framelit cut-out laying in my pile of scrap pieces, knowing that eventually I would find some use for it.  So I tried the technique out on this smaller piece of Very Vanilla, thinking I could always use the other side if needed for another try at this.  Well, it turned out fine on my first try and I laid it off to the side knowing I would use it for another card, some day, anyway.  So I decided to cut out the next larger size with Early Espresso and ran that piece thru the Woodgrain embossing folder.  I added some Linen thread and stamped my sentiment with Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I did sponge the edge of my card base to add some interest with Early Espresso.  Another card done for the auction.

Thanks for stopping in to see me too, Mary.

Butterfly Card

Well, long time no see!  So sorry to be missing lately, our internet cable got cut and we have been without internet since Thursday afternoon!  Talk about withdrawals, I've been hopping all over town going to places with free Wi-Fi trying to keep up with my e-mail.  Today, which is Sunday, I'm at McDonald's using their service, so I will not be able to give you all the ingredients that I used for these  cards because I forgot to bring my catalog with me, sorry about that.  I will share the video link HERE for cutting this cute card out with.  These are two cards that I'm donating to an auction, hope they like them.

Hope we get our internet back soon,  Mary
