Dog Sympathy Card

Good day to all of my blogger friends, I hope it's going well for all of you!

Well, here is a card that I made for my friend, Linda, who recently lost one of her doggie companions.  It is always so hard to hear when someone has lost a pet because you know how hard it can be.  I wanted to let her know that I was thinking of her.

Here is what I used to make this card:

Stamp set (Dog): non Stampin' Up!
Stamp set (sentiment); Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ribbon: non Stampin' Up!
Card stock: Marina Mist, Whisper White and Crumb Cake
Markers for coloring (Stampin' Up!)
Labels Framelit dies
Dimensionals

I hope your Friday is going well, have a crafty one!!!!    Mary

Hi everyone, I hope you are not getting tired of seeing my cards!  I had the week of June 4th off and I had LOTS of time to get in the craft room to play, boy was that ever fun too!

Here is a card that I made after I was messing around with this two-step stamp set called Greenhouse Garden, which is now retired.  As I was stamping with this I was wondering way I didn't use it more.  I will probably make a few more cards with is, as it is still on my table, gotta show it some more love.

Just for You

Happy Monday to all of you!  Well I think that I've recovered from the garage sale, whew.  Wish I could have sold some of my older stamp sets but they just don't seem to sell well for me.

Ok, here is another card that I based off a gift box that I saw in the demo magazine, Stampin' Success, last month.  I just love this color, it is called Pool Party!  Always makes me think of a cool refreshing pool, cool and wet, just what you want on a hot summer day.  Now this did not turn out the way I image it would, but I still did send it off to a poor lady who has been bed-ridden for at least six months waiting for a hip replacement, I feel really sorry for her, she is in her early 50's and has been waiting for so long for her counts to be just right for this surgery.

Now looking at this card, I wish I would have added some kind of embossing to the Pool Party background just to add some depth to it.  Next time I will do just that!

All products are Stampin' Up!

Stamp:Teeny Tiny Wishes, Four Frames and Distressed Dots
Ink:Pool Party and Early Espresso
Card stock:Pool Party, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette and Pretty In Pink
Decorative Label punch
BoHo Blossom punch
Mini Brad
Pleated Satin Ribbon (retired)

Good-bye for today, see you soon!             Mary

Thank You Card

Hi, boy is it ever had work sitting in the heat and doing nothing, lol!  Today is the last day for our garage sale, I hope both girls have made some money and gotten rid of some unwanted stuff too!

Today's card is one that I found in the demos magazine that I receive each month, called Stampin' Success.  The demo who submitted this card received three stamp sets and had it featured in the magazine too!  She used a different color, but I had some purple still out on my table, so that is what I used.  It was a very easy card to make and you could easily change the sentiment for whatever occasion you needed.

All products are Stampin' Up!

Stamp:Pretty Postage
Postage Stamp punch
Tasteful Trim die
Floral Fusion sizzixlet
Mini brads
Card stock:Elegant Eggplant, Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum and So Saffron
Markers to color in the stamp
Square Lattice embossing folder
Big Shot

I hope you all have a wonderful week-end, until next time, happy crafting!      Mary

Happy Birthday Daisy Card

Welcome to my blogging friends!  I'm busying helping my daughter run a garage sale today and still wanted to share this card with you!  Glad that I can schedule posts in advance.

Now the last time I was here to visit with you I promised to share with you the card that my daughter decided to give to her friend.  It's pink, like she wanted and she also told me her friend had planted some daisies this year, so I knew right away what I wanted to use, yes, the retired Flower, Daisy #2 Die.  I've had my eye on this die for at least two years and decided in March to get it, well, I'm so glad that I did because Stampin' Up! retired it this year, whew, just made it under the wire on getting it!!  As I look at here on the screen, I probably should have ran the Regal Rose card stock thru an embossing folder to give it some texture, but I think she will like it.

All products are from Stampin' Up!

Stamp:Petite Pairs
Card Stock:Regal Rose, Whisper White, Early Espresso
Antique Brad
Pearls
Scallop Oval and Oval punches
Dimensionals

Well this is my share for you today, I hope you have a nice day too!     Mary

Apothecary Art Birthday Card

Hi everyone, I hope your week is off to a good start!  We had a very quite, restful Father's day here at our house, which is really very nice!

Today I want to share this pretty card that I case'd from a fellow demo.  You can see her beautiful card HERE.  My daughter asked if I would make a birthday card for one of her friends, really you had to ask?, of course I would!  She said that her friend likes pink so when I saw this card, I wanted to try my hand at making one.  The bottom card is the first one that I made and well it didn't turn out just like the one I saw, so I went back to the table and made the second one.  Well I did change the color of the card stock, but it still is pretty close to hers.  Now this is not the card that my daughter choose to give to her friend, I'll show you that one in a couple of days.

Supplies used all Stampin' Up!

Card stock:Very Vanilla, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette
Stamps:Apothecary Art
Framelits:Labels
Very Vanilla Seam Binding
Antique Brad and a Sale-A-Bration Brad (retired)
Markers
Scallop Edge punch

Well that does it for this post, I want to thank you all for coming by and would love to hear your comments too!  Have a crafty day!                     Mary

Happy Father's Day 2012

Hi everyone!!  I hope you all are having fun with your husband's, dad's or anyone you consider to be like a father to you!

I wanted to share the card that I made to give to my dad.  He and my mom use to camp alot when I was in my early 20's and then when I had kids, they would go with them and I would tag along too.  Then we bought an old camper, that look pretty close to this one but was white and we would meet my parent's out at a local camp ground.  I don't know who had more fun, my dad or my kids!

This is a retired Stampin' Up! set called, Loads of Love and also Loads of Fun.  When I stamped it I must admit I was alittle bit intimated by the thought of coloring this in and having it look nice, but then I knew my parents would not notice that and would focus on the image!  My mom said that it brought back alot of wonderful memories!

I used SU markers to color it in with and used Whisper White, Marina Mist and Crumb Cake card stock.  After I had the envelope sealed I realized I could have stamped the lady image looking out of the camper window, oh well, maybe next time!

Well, I hope to see you again soon, have lots of pictures on the camera to share with you!   Mary

Any Occasion Card, Petite Pansies

Hi everyone, glad you stopped by to see one of my cards today, I hope your day/week is going well too!

Ok, one night I got tired of making wedding thank you cards and shoved them off to the side and picked up some scaps of card stock and set out to use some up and make a card too.  Here is what I came up with!  Everything is really a scrap; ribbon, card stock and the embossed image too!

I pulled out a retired stamp set called, Petite Pansies.  I had some embossing that didn't turn out right so I cut out a mask to put over my oval and was able to stamp the image inside the frame without going onto the frame, does that make sense?  Then I took my En Francais background stamp (love this stamp) to add to my scrap of Pink Pirouette card stock, used Pretty In Pink ink with the stamp.  Used black Staz-on and my markers to color with.  It really was a quick and easy card to make!  I used one of my circle punches to round the corners with.  Card base is Elegant Eggplant.

There you go, a scrappy card and pretty too!

Have a great day,                 Mary

Wedding Thank You Notes

Well happy June 2nd to all of you!  Summer official beginning will be here sooner than we think, but according to our neighbor's pool, it's all ready here, the kids are having a blast!

Today I want to share with you the thank you cards that I'm making for my daughter to use for the wedding gifts that they receive.  She said I didn't have to make them but I really wanted to try my hand at these.  I found this thank you card on Dawn Olchefske blog, she has a video that you can view HERE.  Instead of Black ink I used Perfect Plum, Denise's wedding color.  I'm using the stamp set Sincere Salutations, which just retired, it is a wonderful set to own.  I also used the stamp set from Sale-A-Bration, Fresh Vintage, also retired and the current oval embossing folder.  Very simple but elegant card.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day and stay cool too,    Mary
